Whisky Camp Guard Station

On our journey to the Whisky Camp Guard Station we found a little gem of a place to stay, Dogwood Motel.

They have tiny cabins with have a full kitchen you can rent. Bonus they that they are dog friendly. Be sure to check out the koi pond and the gorgeous surrounding gardens. The next morning we set out to explore the North Umpqua River and checked out many beautiful waterfalls along the way to the Whisky Camp Guard Station.

It was great to spend the weekend relaxing. We tend to get antsy and struggle to stay in one location for more than one night. This cabin was the perfect opportunity for us to stay put and relax in nature. Our days consisted of eating good food, walking the property, taking naps in our hammocks and watercolor painting.

We celebrated our great weekend once back in Portland with delicious BBQ at People's Pig.
