Making a Snowman in Lassen National Park
We over corrected after leaving Death Valley in search of cooler weather. We had arrived at Lake Tahoe the night before with a forecast of 1 inch of snow, looking forward to seeing the cold white stuff we grew up with. When we woke there was about 5 inches with more coming down. We checked the road conditions and took the safest route out of town.
We grabbed a big breakfast in Reno and decided to drive through Lassen National Park. We had visited and explored Lassen NP a few years earlier with my sister and her family. We were intrigued to see what it would be like with snow. Not unexpectedly the park was very closed.
We made it to the visitor center and ranger station and Steph whipped up a great snowman. With Lassen in our rear view we set our site on making it ot the coast. That evenedin we reached Arcata California.
