The Trip Comes to an End
This trip is a top contender for Steph's favorite adventures. The spontaneity of how the trip came to be and the decision to not have a formal plan made it all that much more fun. All that we knew about Death Valley and Nevada had really been only researched in the weeks before the trip. Everything we saw and did was new and delightful.
On our last few days we cruised north on the coast. We stopped at the Trees of Mystery road side attraction. We had passed it many times but never stopped to gawk at the 49-foot tall Paul Bunyan statue and a 35-foot tall Babe the Blue Ox.
As always at the end of a trip Steph and I are so good at working together to make everything comfortable. We have our favorite tasks and are true partners. We got one more camping night in cooked a great meal to toast to the end of our adventure. The Death Valley Road trip was one of the best trips we took in a very long time.
